Sorry I’ve not posted for a while, it’s been a bit of a hectic month! Worry not though, I’ve continued cooking. I’ve also been (mostly) sticking to my diet, Slimming World Extra Easy. Any diet that allows you to have steak definitely gets a big tick from me, you do need to remove the fat and have a lean steak but that’s not exactly a hardship!
Sirloin steak – 80z/200g (trimmed of fat)
Olive oil – a very tiny drop rubbed over flesh
Seasoning – black pepper, dried herbs
Equipment: Plate, tongs, non-stick frying pan
- Remove the steak from the fridge an hour before cooking, rub with the olive oil and season.
- Heat a frying pan to a very hot heat.
- Add the steak and fry for 2 minutes of each side for rare, 3-4 minutes for medium, and 6 minutes for well-done.
- Rest on a warm plate for about 10 minutes before serving.
