Baked Beef Ribs

This is a quicker and easier way of cooking beef ribs than the Slow Cooked Balsamic Beef Ribs I posted a couple of weeks ago.IMG-20130421-01748

If the weather ever brightens up this recipe would be great on the barbecue too!

Ingredients:

Beef ribs – 2lb/900g (well trimmed of fat)

Onion – 1 (cut into 8 wedges)

Worcestershire Sauce – 2-3 tablespoons

Salt – a good sprinkle

Seasoning – Pepper and dried mixed herbs

Equipment: Chopping board, knife, baking dish, tin foil, trivet/wire rack

Method:

  1. Place the ribs in the baking dish and season with the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and herbs, and add the onions.
  2. Cook flesh side down and covered with foil cook in a hot oven (210°C/Fan 190°C/Gas 7).
  3. After 45 minutes remove the ribs from the baking dish, put the trivet in the baking dish, and place the ribs on top and baste with any juices.
  4. Return to the oven and cook uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
