This is a quicker and easier way of cooking beef ribs than the Slow Cooked Balsamic Beef Ribs I posted a couple of weeks ago.
If the weather ever brightens up this recipe would be great on the barbecue too!
Beef ribs – 2lb/900g (well trimmed of fat)
Onion – 1 (cut into 8 wedges)
Worcestershire Sauce – 2-3 tablespoons
Salt – a good sprinkle
Seasoning – Pepper and dried mixed herbs
Equipment: Chopping board, knife, baking dish, tin foil, trivet/wire rack
- Place the ribs in the baking dish and season with the Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper and herbs, and add the onions.
- Cook flesh side down and covered with foil cook in a hot oven (210°C/Fan 190°C/Gas 7).
- After 45 minutes remove the ribs from the baking dish, put the trivet in the baking dish, and place the ribs on top and baste with any juices.
- Return to the oven and cook uncovered for 20-30 minutes.
