Diet Gone Wrong (Days 68-70)

So, this weekend the diet thing went a bit wrong. Pork belly on Friday night, the chicken in sweet zingy sauce on Saturday was a big improvement, but then I topped off the weekend with a pizza on Sunday (recipe coming soon). I did try to make the pizza slightly healthier, but it was still pizza. I’m not sure what it is, maybe I’ve been good for too long. The wight loss has slowed down a lot, which hasn’t helped, I always get bored with diets when it looks like they’re not working. The weather is turning colder, I don’t think that helped.

I suppose I need to remember this is a marathon, not a sprint. Slow weight-loss and developing better eating habits will mean my ideal weight should be easier to maintain when I reach it. I shouldn’t just give up because I had a few weak days (especially when the food I made on the weak days was so damn tasty!). So tomorrow is another day, and I’m going to try to be better but not beat myself up if I slip. After all, I’m just trying to lose weight for myself and there’s no point making myself miserable in the process. Maybe I should just buy bigger clothes…

  4. […] during my weekend of diet slippage one of the foods I indulged in was pizza. I tried my best to make it a bit healthier, firstly by […]
